I must confess that, whenever I read blogs (even my friends'), I hardly ever click links. Usually, I'd rather take their word for it (i.e., that something's interesting, funny, sexy, etc.) than stall my growing-slower-by-the-day computer, and so I miss out on a lot of goodies. Of course, this is just a segue to Snap Shots that I just installed to alleviate my link lacklusterliness. On other sites, the link previews actually make me click more (requiring a reboot every 30 minutes or so; my system's that shot).[1]I kept the image link to distinguish the previewables from the acronyms and such. Still waiting to see if they bug me... SIX HOURS LATER: Yep, they bug me.

As expected, it works great on Firefox but turns Opera into a fidgetty little old lady with a blinky address bar. IE, in the meanwhile, doesn't render the outer wrapper, which includes the pointer. Or, again, it could be my computer. But what's fun about Snap Shots--for me, at least--is that when I hover over my books, the Amazon summaries show up. Nifty, eh?[2]Unless it shows the Amazon homepage, which it does sometimes. I dunno why. Also, if the site has an RSS feed, it shows the feed. And THAT is the closest thing to advertising you'll ever find on this or any of my sites.
